To Benefit The Comprehensive Women’s Health Center

(Hartford, Conn. September 9, 2013) - It was another sellout evening with nearly 1,400 guests at the Connecticut Convention Center for this year’s MIRACLES XXIV gala, presented by Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.  This year’s beneficiary was The Comprehensive Women’s Health Center at Saint Francis, slated for opening November, 2013, on the Hospital’s main campus. The event featured a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing and silent wine and wine dinner auctions. The event raised approximately $900,000.

“Once again, our community has come together to show its generous and inspiring support for our efforts to provide the very best in healthcare services by attending this sold-out event,” said Christopher M. Dadlez, Chief Executive Officer and President of Saint Francis. “We are especially grateful to everyone for their part in helping the Hospital create the new Comprehensive Women’s Health Center, a facility that will take women’s healthcare to a new place.”

The Comprehensive Women’s Health Center (CWHC) will provide dedicated services for women in the nation’s most advanced state-of-the-art facility. When the CWHC opens its doors, the Comprehensive Breast Health Center, the Women’s Heart Program, Integrative Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecological Services will comprise the core services available. Focused on providing coordinated care specifically for women, the Center will offer innovative technology, world-class physicians, highly-trained nurses and technicians, along with education, prevention, diagnosis and treatment in an environment that is architecturally designed to promote health and healing.

Since its inception in 1990 to celebrate the affiliation of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital, the MIRACLES galas have raised $14 million for initiatives at Saint Francis.
