A 134-bed community hospital located in Bristol, Bristol Hospital is an independent organization with a community-based board of directors serving the Greater Bristol area.
The hospital provides a broad range of inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, behavioral health and maternity services. Bristol Hospital also operates a number of community-based facilities, including radiology and mammography, a wellness center, occupational health and rehabilitation centers, adult day care services and Ingraham Manor, a 128-bed skilled nursing care facility. The parent company, Bristol Hospital and Healthcare Group, also includes physician practices and an ambulance service.
Bristol Hospital became a Saint Francis Care Partner in 1995. Through this arrangement, the two institutions are collaborating on clinical areas of excellence, shared laboratory services and improving efficiencies.
Bristol Hospital has worked with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center on three programs: the Saint Francis/Mt. Sinai Regional Cancer Program at Bristol Hospital, the Saint Francis Care Center for Diabetes at the Bristol Hospital Wellness Center and the Hoffman Heart Institute at Bristol Hospital. Each combine the excellence of a large regional program with the convenience of a local community location.
