Meet our CyberKnife Team

The Connecticut CyberKnife® Center at Saint Francis takes a team approach to caring for our patients. Under the guidance of Medical Director Dr. Richard Shumway, our experienced team of physicians, medical physicists, CyberKnife radiation therapists, nurse and administrative coordinator work closely together to provide the best care possible.

Radiation Oncology Physicians:

Radiation oncologists are physicians who specialize in treating cancer with radiation. At the Connecticut CyberKnife Center, our radiation oncologists have sub-specialty training and certification, as well as extensive experience using the CyberKnife to deliver stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). They develop the treatment plan, supervise the entire process and evaluate the response to the CyberKnife therapy.
