Staff

Gwendolyn Moraski, M.D., Raymond Squier, M.D., Mark Spencer, M.D., and Frank Setter, M. D. are the doctors at The Pain Management Center. They are all board-certified anesthesiologists with advanced training in the subspecialty of pain management.

Gwendolyn Moraski, M.D., received her medial degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1985. She completed an internship in surgery at Saint Francis prior to completing a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She completed a fellowship in pain management at Yale University Medical Center. She joined the Anesthesiology Department at Saint Francis in 1989 and has been co-director of The Pain Management Center since 1990. Dr. Moraski is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Anesthesiology. She was awarded special board certification in pain management in 1993. She is an assistant clinical professor in anesthesiology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and serves as chairman of the Cancer Pain Task Force at Saint Francis.

Mark Spencer, M.D., received his medical degree from Georgetown University in 1991. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Hartford Hospital and a one-year general surgery internship at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He completed a one-year pain fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1996 and is currently a staff anesthesiologist at Saint Francis. Dr. Spencer is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He was certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in the subspecialty of pain management in 1996. He is an assistant clinical professor in anesthesiology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Raymond Squier, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1982. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Hartford Hospital after finishing two years of surgical residency at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in pain management at Hartford Hospital in 1989 and has been on the Saint Francis staff since that time as an anesthesiologist. He has served as co-director of The Pain Management Center since 1990. Dr. Squier is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He was awarded special board certification in pain management in 1993. He is an assistant clinical professor in anesthesiology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Frank Setter, M.D., received his medical degree from the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse in 1994. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital prior to completing a residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y. Dr. Setter is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is currently a staff anesthesiologist at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and is an assistant clinical professor in anesthesiology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
