  • Breast Cancer Support Group
    Available for patients and their families. This meeting, run by a social worker meets the second Wednesday of each month from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. in conference room 3-9B of the Patient Care Tower.   • American Cancer Society's Reach to Recovery
    This program allows breast cancer survivors to meet one-on-one with patients to answer non medical questions and offer practical advice. This program is free of charge.

  • Health Learning Center
    Offers free health information for p
    atients through a variety of media (books, magazines, Internet access, videos, electronic databases). Located just off the second floor of the Collins Street Parking Garage, the HLC has professional staff available to help guide you and answer questions you may have.

  • Lymphedema Therapy
    This program was designed to decrease arm swelling that can sometimes occur after breast surgery. Offered through The Rehabilitation Hospital of Connecticut, this therapy entails manual lymph drainage, conditioning exercises and individualized fitting for compression sleeves.
