(HARTFORD, Conn.) – William T. Marshall, III, D.O., of West Hartford, has joined the Medical and Dental Staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center as the Associate Director of Trauma and Critical Care.

Dr. Marshall received his degree in osteopathic medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center Affiliate, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn. He served as a trauma fellow at Hartford Hospital, and as a surgical critical care fellow at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine/Hartford Hospital.

Dr. Marshall is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. He was also a member of the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society, the New York College Osteopathic Medicine Educational Consortium and the Committee of Interns and Residents.

At Saint Francis, Dr. Marshall will practice as a member of Saint Francis Medical Group, Inc., in Hartford.

Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets and is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
