SISTER JUDY CAREY NAMED CHAIRWOMAN OF AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION’S “GO RED FOR WOMEN” FORUM - fourth annual event to be held February 26, 2009

(Hartford, CT) – Judith A. Carey, R.S.M., Ph.D., Vice President of Mission Integration at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, has been named chairwoman of the 4th Annual American Heart Association “Go Red for Women” Education Forum and Luncheon, to be held at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

“I am proud to be involved with the “Go Red for Women” Education Forum and Luncheon and the “Go Red for Women” movement as my contribution to help raise awareness about reducing the risk of heart disease,” said Sister Judy. “At Saint Francis, we are committed to providing women with life-saving information about heart health through our Women’s Heart Program. It’s a free program designed to educate women about the risks of heart disease and how to life a healthy lifestyle.”

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is proud to be the Signature Sponsor of the “Go Red for Women” Education Forum and Luncheon. The event will be expanded to include a morning education forum, complimentary Go Red Heart Check Ups, and exhibits. The educational forum and Go Red Heart Check Ups will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by a networking reception, silent auction, heart healthy luncheon and engaging program speakers.
