Pediatric Cardiac Ultrasound

Classes begin in October and April.

The mission of the Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute of Connecticut School of Cardiac Ultrasound is to provide a competency-based educational and clinical experience that will prepare our students to work in the profession of pediatric cardiac sonographer. At the end of the six-month training program, the student will be prepared to take the national registry exam offered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), and demonstrate the necessary skills and experience to obtain a job as a pediatric cardiac sonographer. The school provides a curriculum in which caring and compassion is integrated into the development of both professional and technical expertise.
