Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology are part of the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center OB/GYN Department.

Entry into the program at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center at the intern level is made through the National Residency Matching Program utilizing the Electronic Residence Application System (ERAS).

Resident education is our highest priority. 24-hour-in -house OB/GYN attending coverage is provided by our outstanding clinical faculty. Residents have a lecture series with protected time when they are relieved from clinical services. Residents also attend local and regional OB/GYN conferences. In addition to didactic lectures the residents are provided with core obstetrics and gynecology textbooks and PDA's.

The residents' lifestyle is also considered. A night float coverage system is in place. The residents also have an on site exercise facility and are given on call meal allowances.

The Hospital is on the cutting edge of technology. Electronic medical records are utilized for prenatal care. The Department has its own OB/GYN Ultrasound Division with reports and images available in computers throughout the Department. A hospital wide computer order entry and lab retrieval system is also in place. Twenty four hour in-house anesthesia is available as well as a Level III Intensive Care Nursery.
