Adam R. Silverman, MD is CIPCI Section Leader for Outreach. Dr. Silverman leads the Primary Care Service Line at Saint Francis, and is dedicated to developing high performing, innovative primary care practices and systems of care to provide exceptional care to all patients.
Dr. Silverman was born and raised in Abington, Pennsylvania. He graduated Cum Laude from Middlebury College, with a BA in Geography. He received his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1991. He did his medical residency at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, where he received the honor of being chosen as a Chief Medical Resident.
He then went on to spend 5 years in private practice in Chicago and Norwalk, CT, before settling into a career as an academic physician at the UConn School of Medicine. During his tenure at UConn, he grew a successful hospitalist and primary care internal medicine practice, was recognized for teaching excellence, and eventually led the 256-member UConn Medical Group.
