The center's latest innovation is single-incision laparoscopic surgery. Often favored by younger patients or athletes who are concerned about abdominal scarring,  this technique uses a single, hidden incision through the belly button to remove organs and repair hernias with excellent clinical and cosmetic results. Added precision has been achieved with the introduction of the daVinci Robotic Surgical System. Single-incision surgery can be used for hernias and conditions of the:
