Saint Francis Care Names Kimberley Beekmann Director of Patient Experience

 Kimberley Beekmann(Hartford, Conn.  February 12, 2014) – Saint Francis Care has named Kimberley P. Beekmann, a resident of Southwick, MA, as Director of Patient Experience.  This key leadership role is based in the Innovation + Learning Center at Saint Francis. 

In this new role, Beekmann will be responsible for catalyzing and coordinating system-wide initiatives designed to measure and enhance the patient experience. She will organize, manage, and communicate organizational goals and initiatives, and will focus on eliciting patient and community perspectives to guide improvement efforts.    

Prior to her appointment as Director of Patient Experience, Beekmann was the Executive Director at the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute at Saint Francis (CJRI) – a position she held for the past six years. 

Beekmann joined Saint Francis in 2007 as Nurse Manager, Inpatient Unit at CJRI after 18 years as a nurse  on an inpatient orthopedic/neurosurgery unit; orthopedic/trauma unit; orthopedic/oral maxillofacial unit; and an orthopedic joint replacement center. 

Beekmann was the recipient of the Nightingale Excellence in Nursing Award in 2004 and 2007 prior to joining Saint Francis.  She serves a Co-Chair of the Fall Prevention Committee and Chair of the Nightingale Awards for Excellence in Nursing committee at Saint Francis. She is past Co-Chair of the Saint Francis Nursing Shared Governance Professional Development Council.
