Middlebury, has been named the interim Executive Director of Surgical Services
at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
a healthcare executive with 32 years of experience, comes to her new role at
Saint Francis from her prior position at The Hospital of Central Connecticut
(HOCC), New Britain, as Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing
at HOCC, Peterson also served as the executive lead for the strategic business
plan, in the design and construction of a 100,000 square-foot cancer center and
medical office building. She previously held the role as Director of the
Oncology Service Line, Pediatrics, and Stroke Center of Excellence at HOCC.
earned her nursing degree from the Saint Francis School of Nursing and her
bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Hartford. Peterson also received her master of science
in healthcare administration from Rensselaer, Hartford.
is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). She is
also certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (NEA-BC) and is
certified as a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
