(Hartford, Conn. March 20, 2014) – Saint Francis Care has appointed David Bittner to the
position of Senior Vice President of Finance, and Jennifer Schneider as Vice
President of Finance.
joined Saint Francis in 2012 as Vice President of Finance. Schneider, an
employee since 2001, was formerly Vice President Financial Standards and
will oversee the fiscal operations of Saint Francis Care, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates, with responsibility
for strategic financial planning as well as operational budget, revenue, and
new role, Schneider will be
responsible for financial operations and reporting, general accounting and tax compliance. She will also retain her responsibilities for
financial standards and compliance.
came to Saint Francis from Memorial Health System, a non-profit organization
with a 500-bed community hospital and two critical access hospitals in
Springfield, Ill. Prior to joining
Memorial Health System, he was an auditor with Ernst
& Young, and BKD, both
in Kansas City, MO.
is a C.P.A. and has earned a Six Sigma
Green Belt Certification.
He holds an M.B.A. from Benedictine University in Springfield, IL, and a
Bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. He is also a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
has served in various roles during her tenure at Saint Francis, including Chief
Compliance Officer, Vice President Lean and Continuous Improvement, and Director
of Internal Audit.
received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bentley College,
Waltham, MA, and her Master of Science in Quality Systems Management from
National Graduate School. Prior to joining Saint Francis, Schneider was a
senior manager at Ernst & Young. She is a certified public accountant and
is certified in Healthcare Compliance. Schneider also serves on the Board of
Directors for the Malta House of Care, Inc.
