Saint Francis Care Extends Travelers Championship Presenting Sponsor Role Through 2020

Hospital is also named the official medical provider for the tournament

(Hartford, Conn. April 29, 2014) - Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center announced today that it will extend its support as Presenting Sponsor to the Travelers Championship for an additional five years, through 2020.

The announcement was made by Christopher M. Dadlez, President and Chief Executive Officer, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, at the Travelers Championship Media Day at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.

The five-year agreement also designates Saint Francis as the "Official Medical Provider” of the Travelers Championship. Saint Francis has provided volunteer services for 26 years, and on-course medical services for 16 years. Medical volunteers provide care in an eight-bed, air-conditioned field hospital, along with three forward aid stations and advanced life support through roving teams of EMS professionals on bikes.

The Hospital also sponsors a health promotion tent in the Fan Zone and hosts the Military Outpost, a climate-controlled venue for current and former military personnel and their families. For the 5th consecutive year, the Hospital will host Military Appreciation events throughout the tournament week to honor active and retired service members. Last year, more than 3,000 military service members and their families visited the Military Outpost.
