David Bittner Named as Chief Financial Officer

Saint Francis Announces Executive Appointment(Hartford, Conn. January 6, 2015) – Saint Francis Care has named David Bittner to the position of Chief Financial Officer. 

As CFO, Bittner will oversee the fiscal operations of Saint Francis Care, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates, with responsibility for strategic financial planning as well as operational budget, revenue, and investment management.  

Bittner was previously promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance in March, 2014. He joined Saint Francis in 2012 as Vice President of Finance.  

Bittner came to Saint Francis from Memorial Health System, a non-profit organization with a 500-bed community hospital and two critical access hospitals in Springfield, Ill.  Prior to joining Memorial Health System, he was an auditor with Ernst & Young, and BKD, both in Kansas City, MO.   

Bittner is a C.P.A. and has earned a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. He holds an M.B.A. from Benedictine University in Springfield, Ill, and a Bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.  He is also a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
