(Hartford, Conn. January 6, 2015) – Saint Francis Care has named L. Roberto Gonzalez, M.D., Chair of the Department
of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Service Line Physician Leader. He has been
serving in this role on an interim basis since November, 2014.
In this role, Dr. Gonzalez will
provide leadership and oversight for the full range of mental health and
substance abuse treatment programs for all ages provided at Mount Sinai
Rehabilitation Hospital, a Saint Francis Care
provider. He has been with Saint Francis for more than 15 years.
Dr. Gonzalez is board certified
in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the
University of Puerto Rico and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard
University, Boston, MA.
Dr. Gonzalez completed his
internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA; and his
residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston MA.
