Gabriel V. Gambardella, D.P.M., Joins Saint Francis

Gabriel V. Gambardella, D.P.M.(Hartford, Conn.  April 10, 2015) – Gabriel V. Gambardella, D.P.M., of Branford, who specializes in Podiatric Medicine and Foot and Ankle surgery, has joined the medical staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. 

Dr. Gambardella received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his podiatric medical degree from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. He completed his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital where he also served as chief resident and was honored with the distinguished Residency Excellence Award.  There, he received extensive training in complex reconstructive surgery, limb salvage, trauma surgery, and plastic surgery techniques of the foot and ankle. 

Board qualified in foot surgery and reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Gambardella is a member of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association.  He has published numerous articles in peer reviewed medical journals, and recently has authored a textbook chapter regarding substance abuse.    He is active in the teaching of surgical residents at Saint Francis and Yale-New Haven Hospital. 

At Saint Francis, Dr. Gambardella is practicing as a member of Bloomfield Foot Specialists, LLC in Bloomfield, CT.
