(Hartford, Conn. July 9, 2012) – Jaykumar Thumar, M.D., of Middletown, an oncologist, has joined the medical staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Thumar received his medical degree from Gujarat University, Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, India. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine. Dr. Thumar was a postdoctoral fellow and research fellow at the Center for Vascular Biology at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Thumar is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. At Saint Francis, Dr. Thumar is practicing as a member of Johnson Memorial Medical Center Cancer Center.
