(HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 2, 2010) – Yana Frenkel, M.D., of West Hartford, has joined the Medical Staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Frenkel received her medical degree with pediatric specialization from Kujbyshev Medical School, Kujbyshev, Russia. She served as a pediatric resident at Kujbyshev Medical School/Kujbyshev City Hospital and a resident in psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
A diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Frenkel most recently was associated with Community Mental Health Affiliates, New Britain, and maintained a private practice in West Hartford. At Saint Francis, she will practice as a member of the Saint Francis Behavioral Health Group, P.C.
Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets. It is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
