KARL M. DAUPHINAIS, M.D., M.S.S., JOINS SAINT FRANCIS Specialist in Primary Care, Sports Medicine

 (HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 3, 2010) – Karl M. Dauphinais, M.D., M.S.S., of West Hartford, has joined the Medical Staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Dauphinais received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and a master’s of sports sciences in sports medicine from the United States Sports Academy, Daphine, Ala.

He served as a resident in primary care and internal medicine in the Yale Internal Medicine Primary Care Residency Program at Yale-New Haven and Waterbury Hospitals.

A diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Dauphinais is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, Connecticut State Medical Society, International Fitness Professional’s Association and American College of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Dauphinais is the co-author or editor of three books on fitness and nutrition in addition to poster presentations at professional meetings and a paper in a professional journal.

Dr. Dauphinais most recently served as a hospitalist at Gaylord Hospital. At Saint Francis, he will practice with ProHealth Physicians of Farmington.

Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets. It is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
