ARSHAD M. YEKTA, M.D., JOINS SAINT FRANCIS

Specialist in Cardiology

(HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 18, 2010) - Arshad M. Yekta, M.D., of South Windsor, has joined the Medical Staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Yekta received his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston. He served as an intern and resident in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, and a fellow in cardiovascular diseases at Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut.

A diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Yekta is also board certified in cardiology and nuclear cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, New York State Medical Society and the honor society Phi Beta Kappa. He is the co-author of three papers published in professional journals and the author or co-author of three posters presented at professional society meetings.

At Saint Francis, Dr. Yekta will practice as a member of Hartford Heart P.C.
