ELIZABETH SCHILLER, M.D., JOINS SAINT FRANCIS

Specialist in Emergency Medicine

(HARTFORD, Conn.,  March 1, 2010) – Elizabeth Schiller, M.D., of New Britain, has joined the Medical Staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Schiller received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and a master of arts and a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.  She served as a chief resident in emergency medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine integrated residency program during which she received the Award for Clinical Excellence.  Dr. Schiller was also honored by the Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians as Resident of the Year.

Board eligible in emergency medicine, Dr. Schiller is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians.

At Saint Francis, she will practice as a member of the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets.  It is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
