SABEENA ARORA, M.D., JOINS SAINT FRANCIS Specialist in Cardiology

(HARTFORD, Conn., Sept. 23, 2010) - Sabeena Arora, M.D., a cardiologist, has joined the Medical Staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Arora received her medical degree from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India. She served a rotating internship at Army Hospital Research and Referral, New Delhi, India, and was a practicing physician in the Indian Armed Forces from 1995 to 2002, holding the rank of major. She served as a resident and chief medical resident in internal medicine in the University of Connecticut Integrated Internal Medicine Residency Program and a fellow in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Her professional interests include advanced heart failure, post-transplant care and non-invasive cardiology.

Board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in cardiology, Dr. Arora is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and Society of General Internal Medicine. She is the author or co-author of three papers and abstracts published in professional journals.
