Saint Francis Geriatric Medicine Services

Palliative Care

The Palliative Care Service provides compassionate care for patients at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center who are facing a serious or life-threatening illness.  We are consultants who specialize in the alleviation of symptoms such as nausea, difficulty breathing and pain. Because our goal is to help patients live as fully as possible, we help patients and their families make treatment choices best suited to their individual needs.

Hospice

Hospice provides comfort and end-of-life care for patients whose life expectancy is less than six months and who have chosen to forego further curative treatment. Hospice services can be provided in a variety of community settings. The palliative care team can help patients connect with services and help with the transition to hospice.  Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice partners with Saint Francis to provide hospice services at home.
