We are dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect, serving and strengthening children and families.
Program Description
The Saint Francis Hospital Parent Aide Program provides home-based education to Hartford families. In an effort to engage parents in improved outcomes for their children, Parent Aides perform weekly visits for sixteen to thirty-two weeks. Individualized goals are developed and can include learning about budgeting, child development, employment, discipline techniques, home management skills and utilizing community resources. Our goal is to empower “at risk” families to effectively care for and support their children. Through loving homes, caring hearts and healing hands together we are creating bright futures!
Parent Aides:
- Provide Weekly In-Home Visits for a Minimum of 2-Hours/Week!
- Provide Support, Advocacy & Guidance to Parents in Any Stage of Parenting!
- Provide Parents With the Tools They Need to Be the Best Parent That They Can Be!
- Build Confidence & Coping Skills!

To Participate
Participation in the Parent Aide Program is voluntary and open to Hartford, Windsor and Bloomfield families currently working with the Department of Children and Families. To receive services the parent(s) must be referred by the Department of Children and Families
