Admission to this program is limited to CCI- or ARDMS-registered cardiac sonographers. Although not required, preference will be given to graduates of a cardiac ultrasound program accredited by the JRC-DMS or JRC-CVT and recognized by CAAHEP. The following requirements also apply: a two-year AMA Allied Health degree that is health care related. These include, but are not limited to: Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Registered Nursing. Students who have a bachelors degree with 8 credits of Anatomy and Physiology completed in health care will be considered. M.D.s and D.O.s are eligible to apply.
Students shall demonstrate satisfactory completion of the following prerequisites and/or co-requsites:
- Human anatomy and physiology
- Medical terminology
For the October class start: Applications will be accepted until April 4th. Interviews will follow with class selection by June 1. For the April class start: Applications will be accepted until November 5. Interviews will follow with class selection by Feb. 1.
