The Traumatic Brain Injury team holds its 26th annual TBI Reception at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.

This event, under the leadership of Linda Mackay, Dr. Anthony Morgan, and Dr. Thomas Miller, has brought together former patients with traumatic brain injury every year since 1988 to honor achievements in their recovery and share them with rehabilitation and hospital staff.

Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital begins offering a free Lifelong Education & Advocacy Program (LEAP) for stroke survivors, caregivers, and family members. LEAP is a program of the National Stroke Association developed for hospitals and rehabilitation facilities to use in education their stroke survivors and caregivers about the medical issues of stroke.


The Mandell MS Center clinical team offers a free educational program that provides an update on key areas important for the care of persons living with Multiple Sclerosis to over 250 MS patients at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. The program includes a variety of topics including research updates, symptom management, and new MS treatments.

Triple amputee Cameron Clapp visits Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital to share his message of hope and demonstrate how his state-of-the-art prosthetic limbs have enabled him to surf, ski, run and cliff-jump into the ocean, as he had before his accident.

MIRACLES XXV honors the 25th anniversary of the affiliation between the former Mount Sinai Hospital and Saint Francis.
