Support Groups

Support groups are often an invaluable resource in coping with serious illness both for patients and their families. The opportunity to be with others, to share information and to be understood makes a real difference in how we live with an illness.

The hospital offers support groups for:

• Breast cancer
• Breastfeeding
• Diabetes
• Prostate cancer
• Leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s and myeloma
• General cancer
• Congestive heart failure
• Mended hearts (for people or their families who have had open heart surgery or heart disease)
• Insulin pump
• Bereavement
• Pregnancy infant loss
• High risk pregnancy
