For Your Safety

It is absolutely necessary that you not eat or drink anything, including water/alcohol, after midnight on the night before your surgery. The presence of solid foods or liquid in the stomach considerably increases the risk of anesthesia. Your surgery may be postponed if you do not observe this requirement.

You might be told to take some of your medications. If you are, take them with a small amount of water (1-2 ounces).
